Job Description

You have a passion for helping customers, building relationships, and delivering extraordinary customer service. You are energetic and enthusiastic as the face of Chase to our retail branch customers. From a personal standpoint, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of your career development through a variety of cross-training opportunities.

As a Relationship Banker in Branch Banking, you will take a lead role in delivering an outstanding experience to Chase customers. You will acquire, manage, and retain meaningful relationships with our customers, using your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions to help address their financial needs, contributing to the success of the branch. You will be making the lives of customers easier by sharing and setting up self-service options to access their accounts 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Delivers an exceptional customer experience by acting with a customer-first attitude.
  2. Manages assigned customers and proactively meets with them, both in person and over the phone, to build lasting relationships, discover financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
  3. Makes personal connections, engages and educates customers, asks open-ended questions, and listens to establish trust and build lasting relationships.
  4. Influences, educates, and connects customers to technology.
  5. Possesses initiative and knowledge to provide financial options for customers using a consultative approach.
  6. Learns products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately and delivers solutions that make our One Chase products work together.
  7. Works in partnership with Specialists (Financial Advisors, Mortgage Bankers, and Business Relationship Managers) to connect customers to experts who can help them with specialized financial needs.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
  1. 1+ year of experience in Retail banking sales, Financial services sales, or related industry, with proven success in establishing new clients, deepening customer relationships, and delivering results.
  2. High school degree, GED, or foreign equivalent.
  3. Beginning October 1, 2018, the Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6/7, state registration (including 63 or 66 if required), and Life licenses are required. All unlicensed applicants must obtain their licenses within 180 days of hire.
  4. Operate within established risk parameters/tolerances and meet internal/external risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training.
  5. Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with proven ability to tailor features and benefits of products/services to customers with differing needs.
  6. Ability to work branch hours including weekends and some evenings.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
  1. College degree or military equivalent.
  2. Professional, thorough, and organized with strong follow-up skills.
  3. Exude confidence with clients when sharing product knowledge and solutions.
  4. Experience adhering to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.

This position is subject to the Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. Employment offers are contingent on review of criminal conviction history, credit report, and other relevant information demonstrating financial responsibility, good character, and fitness. Any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you. Continued employment depends on compliance with these regulations.

Additionally, this role requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon employment, you must register or update your existing registration with NMLS. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including registration and annual renewal.
