Job Description:

Responsible for providing an industry-leading client service experience both in person and on the phone. Develops and expands new and existing client relationships by offering financial solutions that meet client needs through consultative conversations and referrals to other business partners for additional growth. Supports teller transactions as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Exercises advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution, and sales functions regarding deposit, credit, convenience, and other product and service lines.
  2. Contributes to meeting or exceeding client service and sales targets by offering products and services focused on developing, expanding, and retaining relationships.
  3. Supports team sales process by conducting consultative conversations and referring complex client needs to internal specialists.
  4. Participates fully in all components of the established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
  5. Advances personal knowledge of sales techniques and products through attending meetings, training, and web-based learning.
  6. Advises on consumer lending options and takes loan applications.
  7. Adheres to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies, staying informed of policy changes.
  8. Ensures a consistent client service experience by engaging clients courteously, conducting transactions, and assisting with navigation within the branch.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of client sales and service experience
  • Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office
  • Must be SAFE compliant within 30 days of employment, including NMLS background check
  • Ability to multi-task under time constraints
  • Ability to travel for staffing needs, including temporary assignments or locale changes
  • Availability to work weekends and extended hours with occasional travel and overnights

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or higher
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience discussing, recommending, and selling deposit, credit, and retirement products
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales goals
  • Understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures
