First Tech Federal Credit Union in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Relationship Banker to act as a frontline financial partner, processing routine transactions and engaging in consultative conversations with members to tailor products and services to their financial goals.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, on-site environment, meeting service objectives and compliance requirements while collaborating with service teams to support member needs and cross-sell opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months in fast-paced sales or customer service; financial services preferred.
• Ability to listen to members' needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication; concise explanations.
• Strong time management; work independently or in a team.
• Aptitude for learning multiple computer systems to solve member issues.
• Attention to detail; critical thinking and decision-making.
• Notary certification or preference
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Process routine financial transactions for members in person, by phone, and by email, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Establish and maintain member deposit and loan accounts.
• Provide high-quality member service and promptly address concerns; escalate when needed.
• Identify and recommend products and services to meet member needs; partner with service teams.
• Meet quarterly metrics and sales targets; contribute to campaigns and referrals.
• Complete required compliance training and stay current on credit union products and services.
• Perform account maintenance and update member information; conduct follow-up with members.

The Relationship Banker is a frontline financial partner (financial MDs) that is part of a supportive and dynamic member focused sales team. As a Relationship Banker, you'll work in a fast‑paced environment processing routine financial transactions for members in-person, over the phone, and by e‑mail. You'll engage in consultative conversations with members to establish a strong rapport and understanding of their financial needs and offer tailored products and services to help them reach their financial dreams.

What You'll Do

• Quickly process routine financial transactions for members including deposits and withdrawals, loan payments, and cashier's checks, while ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to internal procedures
• Establish and maintain member deposit and loan accounts
• Provide the highest quality of member service by promptly addressing member concerns and escalating to leadership when appropriate
• Proactively identify and recommend the best products and services to meet the members' financial needs and partner with service teams including insurance, investments, Premier, and mortgage
• Meet quarterly metrics and service objectives (i.e. campaigns, cross‑selling, and referrals), alongside sales targets, and incentives to help drive and execute on key business goals and initiatives
• Complete required compliance training within well‑defined timelines and utilize available resources to maintain in‑depth current knowledge of all current credit union products and services
• Perform account maintenance activities including updating member contact and personal information
• Perform follow‑up activities and outbound calls for new and existing members

Essential Skills

• Minimum six (6) months in a fast‑paced sales or customer service role required; financial services experience preferred
• Ability to listen to members' needs and provide tailored product recommendations
• Excellent listening skills with the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns, and overcome objections
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to express ideas concisely and logically
• Demonstrated effective time management skills and the ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment
• Ability to work in fast‑paced customer service and sales environment without sacrificing accuracy and service
• Aptitude for learning a variety of computer systems using technology to solve member issues
• Possesses critical thinking and decision‑making skills with attention to detail
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Certification/License: Notary preferred
• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Location: Nimbus Experience Center - Beaverton, OR 97008 (FULL TIME ON-SITE)

Target Compensation in Beaverton, OR:$20.50 to $24.75 per hour + monthly incentive
