Job summary

Opportunity Bank of Montana is seeking a customer service oriented Teller/ Banking Associate in Great Falls, MT. The role focuses on developing customer relationships, opening deposit accounts, and selling loan products while maintaining accurate cash handling and adherence to bank policies.

The candidate will also respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and identify cross-sell opportunities, with potential to mentor new staff and participate in training.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer relationships through profiling and needs-based questioning to identify deposit, credit, investment and other needs.
• Open new personal and business deposit accounts and identify, sell consumer loan solutions, respond to inquiries, resolve issues and refer cross-sell opportunities.
• Perform all Customer Service Teller functions with a cash drawer and balance cash as required.
• Maintain and close customer accounts and perform related maintenance.
• Assist customers in balancing situations and offer fresh start loans.
• Adhere to operational and security policies and privacy policies of the Bank.
• Establish and deepen relationships to achieve branch sales goals and provide exceptional service.
• May participate in mentorship and training of new employees.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job description

Performs the following duties under general supervision:

• Develop customer relationships through active profiling and needs-based questioning to identify deposit, credit, investment, and other needs.
• Responsible for opening new personal and business deposit accounts, identifying, and selling appropriate consumer loan solutions, responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and recognizing and referring cross sale opportunities.
• Perform all Customer Service Teller functions and has a cash drawer as necessary, maintaining proper cash and authority limits while balancing as required.
• Responsible for all maintenance on customer account and closing accounts.
• Assist customers in challenging balancing situations; offer fresh start loans etc.
• Adhere to all operational and security policies and procedures, including enforcing compliance and privacy policies maintained by the Bank.
• Establish, retain, and deepen relationships with existing and new customers in the community to achieve branch sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
• May participate in mentorship and training of new employees.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
