Job summary

BMO Financial Group in San Francisco seeks a Retail Relationship Banker to support our DeNovo branch expansion, helping launch new locations, shape team culture, and drive client growth from day one. You will engage with customers to assess needs, offer tailored financial solutions, and guide them to digital self-serve options while ensuring regulatory and credit practices are followed.

The role emphasizes community engagement and collaboration with the branch team to achieve business goals.

Qualifications

• Typically 2–3 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in related field of study desirable.
• Canada only: Registration to sell investment products completed (not applicable to US).
• Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
• Experience in financial services is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Takes a lead in proactively engaging with existing customers and prospects by providing needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify opportunities.
• Engages customers to complete needs assessments that identify financial solutions and preferred banking channels while recommending tailored solutions.
• Offers clients advice and guidance on available digital and self-serve options to make banking easy and fast.
• Supports customer transactions needs based on customer traffic.
• Engages customers to grow BMO's business by generating appointments and building relationships within the community.
• Applies risk management framework to protect the Bank's assets and ensure lending compliance and data accuracy.
