Overview

As a member of the Retail Banking team, the Relationship Banker provides guidance on banking products and services. The Relationship Banker interfaces with other business lines to refer customers based on their needs. The role requires high energy and the ability to cultivate meaningful relationships with both new and existing customers, using trust, respect, integrity, and transparency to deepen these relationships. The Relationship Banker adds value by assisting clients on the teller line and platform, contributing to the branch's goals, collaborating on sales strategies, and participating in community activities to develop business effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Attain comprehensive knowledge of products and services, recognize referral opportunities, and partner with appropriate business lines including mortgage, wealth, cash management, commercial lending, and residential lending.
  • Perform all teller and platform transactions promptly, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Deliver and cross-sell banking products aligned with customer needs through platform interactions and teller line transitions.
  • Assist in achieving branch-specific goals in line with bank initiatives and strategic plans.
  • Provide excellent customer service regarding transactions, inquiries, problem resolution, and follow-up, adhering to bank policies.
  • Conduct outbound sales activities, including prospecting and calling prospective and existing customers via various channels.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information in accordance with bank policies.
  • Operate required technology effectively.
  • Utilize the customer management system consistently to document interactions, send referrals, and update campaigns.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
