Job description

You have a passion for helping customers, building relationships, and delivering extraordinary customer service. You are energetic and enthusiastic as the face of Chase to our retail branch customers. As a Relationship Banker in Branch Banking, you will take a lead role in delivering an outstanding experience to Chase customers. You will acquire, manage, and retain meaningful relationships with our customers, using your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions to help address their financial needs, contributing to the success of the branch. You will make customers' lives easier by sharing and setting up self-service options for 24/7 account access.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Deliver an exceptional customer experience with a customer-first attitude.
  2. Manage assigned customers and proactively meet with them in person and over the phone to build relationships, discover financial needs, and recommend products and services.
  3. Make personal connections, engage and educate customers, ask open-ended questions, and listen to establish trust and build lasting relationships.
  4. Influence, educate, and connect customers to technology.
  5. Provide financial options using a consultative approach, demonstrating initiative and knowledge.
  6. Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately, delivering solutions that integrate One Chase products.
  7. Partner with Specialists (Financial Advisors, Mortgage Bankers, Business Relationship Managers) to connect customers with experts for specialized financial needs.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • At least 1+ year of experience in retail banking sales, financial services sales, or related industry roles, with proven success in establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and achieving results.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Starting October 1, 2018, the Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6/7, state registration (including 63 or 66 if required), and Life licenses are required. All unlicensed candidates must obtain their licenses within 180 days of hire.
  • Operate within established risk parameters, meeting internal and external compliance and risk obligations, including completing required training.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with the ability to tailor product features and benefits to customers' needs.
  • Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • College degree or military equivalent.
  • Professional, thorough, and organized with strong follow-up skills.
  • Confidence in sharing product knowledge and solutions with clients.
  • Experience adhering to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
Additional Information

This position is subject to the Dodd-Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. Employment offers are contingent on review of criminal history, credit report, NMLS information, and other relevant data demonstrating financial responsibility and good character. Felony convictions within the last seven years disqualify applicants. Continued employment depends on compliance with these requirements.

Upon employment, registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) is required. You will need to register or update your existing registration to reflect employment with JPMorgan Chase.
