Ephrata National Bank in Akron, PA is seeking a Relationship Banker to deliver a relationship-focused customer experience by accurately processing financial transactions, maintaining and servicing consumer deposit accounts, and referring ENB products and services. The role supports branch operations with security compliance and opening/closing responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least six months of retail banking, financial services, cash-handling, or comparable customer-service experience required.
  • Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and commitment to safeguarding confidential customer and Bank information.
  • Strong customer service, relationship-building, and needs-discovery skills, with the ability to recommend solutions and make appropriate referrals.
  • Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced branch environment.
  • Ability to apply sound judgment, follow established procedures, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use banking systems, digital tools, and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required Relationship Banker training, certifications, and continuing education.
  • Professional conduct and appearance consistent with ENB standards.

Responsabilités

  • Process routine and complex branch transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and official checks, in accordance with established procedures and service standards.
  • Maintain and service consumer deposit accounts; clearly explain account features, digital banking solutions, disclosures, fees, and applicable requirements.
  • Open and close the Community Banking Office as assigned, following all security, cash-control, and operational procedures.
  • Identify customer needs and make appropriate referrals to ENB products, services, and lines of business.
  • Maintain current knowledge of ENB products, services, procedures, campaigns, and relevant financial services offerings.
  • Research and resolve customer questions and service issues within established authority, engaging branch leadership or business partners when needed.
  • Exercise sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision‑making while protecting customer information and Bank assets.
  • Collaborate with branch colleagues and business partners to provide a consistent customer experience and achieve team objectives.
  • Meet or exceed established service, referral, operational, and performance expectations.
  • Adapt to changes in policies, procedures, technology, organizational structure, and business needs; complete required training in a timely manner.

Relationship Banker

Full Time Akron, PA, US

Summary:

Delivers a relationship-focused customer experience by accurately processing financial transactions; maintaining and servicing consumer deposit accounts; identifying customer needs; and recommending or referring appropriate ENB products, services, and business partners. Supports the efficient operation of the Community Banking Office by following established operational controls, security procedures, Bank policies, and applicable laws and regulations. Provides branch opening and closing support as assigned.

Essential Functions:

  • Consistently demonstrate ENB’s Customer Experience principles and a professional approach in every interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Develop and deepen customer relationships through needs-based conversations, proactive outreach, and timely follow-up.
  • Accurately and efficiently process routine and complex branch transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, loan payments, and official checks, in accordance with established procedures and service standards.
  • Maintain and service consumer deposit accounts; clearly explain account features, digital banking solutions, disclosures, fees, and applicable requirements.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in ENB systems and accurately document customer information, account activity, and interactions.
  • Open and close the Community Banking Office as assigned, following all security, cash-control, and operational procedures.
  • Issue replacement debit cards and assist customers with debit card and digital banking needs in accordance with Bank procedures.

This role routinely involves standard office equipment such as computers, monitors, mouse, keyboard, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, calculator, and fax machines. Due to the physical location of this position, phone ringing, and people conversing, it may be difficult to hear at times and therefore easily distracting.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

Days and hours of work vary based on the branch's needs. Flexibility of schedule to meet business needs is required.

Hourly Rate: $15.50 - $21.00

Pay Transparency:

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive-eligible, with payment based on company, business, and/or individual performance.
