Job summary

Mazuma Credit Union in Olathe, KS is hiring a Relationship Advisor - Personal Banker. This role focuses on building strong member relationships, identifying financial needs, and delivering personalized solutions.

You will process transactions, open and service accounts, and guide lending with a focus on member education. Ideal candidates have cash handling and sales/advising experience, strong organizational skills, and comfort with digital banking tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year cash handling experience.
• 1 year sales or advising experience.
• 1 year customer service in hospitality or financial institution.
• Demonstrated ability in lieu of experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional experience to Members by identifying financial needs and providing personalized solutions.
• Process Member transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high level of service.
• Balance vault cash, teller drawers, cash recyclers, and cash dispensing equipment in accordance with procedures.
• Open, service, and maintain personal and small business accounts, CDs, and IRAs.
• Open and maintain fiduciary accounts while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Assist Members applying for consumer loans and guide them through the lending process.
• Educate Members on digital banking tools and services to meet goals.
• Collaborate with teammates to support branch goals and a positive environment.

What you’ll do as the Relationship Advisor - Personal Banker

• Deliver an exceptional experience to Members by identifying financial needs and providing personalized solutions.
• Process Member transactions accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high level of service.
• Balance vault cash, teller drawers, cash recyclers, and cash dispensing equipment in accordance with established procedures.
• Open, service, and maintain personal and small business accounts, certificates of deposit (CDs), and individual retirement accounts (IRAs).
• Open and maintain fiduciary accounts while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and procedures.
• Assist Members applying for consumer loans, guiding Members through the lending process.
• Assist Members with account disputes and complete required dispute documentation.
• Educate Members on digital banking tools, products, and services that support their financial goals.
• Collaborate with Team Members to support branch goals and create a positive, Member-focused environment.
• Bring a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to being awesome every day.

To be successful as the Relationship Advisor - Personal Banker we are looking for someone with

• 1 year cash handling experience
• 1 year of sales and/or advising experience
• 1 year of customer service in the hospitality industry or financial institution experience
• Demonstrated ability in lieu of experience will be considered for candidate
