Job summary

Carlson Capital LP in Dallas, Texas seeks a Sector Specialist for the REITs sector to run a dollar-neutral, paired portfolio within EqRV. You will conduct thorough market research, build sector models, and identify large-cap equity pair trades for our funds.

You will be supported by a seasoned trading desk and report to the CIO with investment ideas guiding decisions. Preferred candidates hold a CFA or similar cert, have 4+ years in REIT analysis, and can work independently while collaborating

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or related field.
• 4+ years at a Wall Street institution analyzing large-cap REIT sector.
• Demonstrated financial modeling and empirical research skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with Carlson teams.
• This position is full-time in the office, in Dallas, Texas.

Responsibilities

• Generate pair trades for inclusion in the EqRV strategy.
• Conduct research and analysis of the REIT sector to identify opportunities.
• Evaluate financial statements, market trends, and data to determine viability of investments.
• Collaborate with the CIO and other Sector Specialists to develop investment ideas.
• Monitor and report on performance of investments in the sector.
• Stay up to date with industry news to inform decisions.
