Job summary

Lockton is expanding its US actuarial capabilities to deliver best-in-class (re)insurance analytics. The Associate will run analyses to support reinsurance structuring, growth profitability, and risk understanding for insurers.

Responsibilities include building stochastic models, delivering client-ready presentations, and collaborating with senior actuaries and brokers to offer strategic guidance. Excellent Excel and programming skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in actuarial or related roles.
• Minimum of 2 actuarial exams completed.
• Expert in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with programming languages, preferably Python or R.
• Stochastic modeling/dynamic financial analysis experience is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses to support reinsurance structuring and placement.
• Build stochastic underwriting models to analyze reinsurance structures.
• Prepare and deliver client-ready presentations communicating analysis results.
• Collaborate with senior actuaries, cat modelers, and brokers to provide strategic advice.
• Contribute to development of actuarial tools and processes.
• Conduct market analysis and research for the industry and peer groups.
