Job summary

Kuvare is seeking an Intermediate Reinsurance Accountant to support accurate recording of transactions, reconciliations, and management reporting. You will prepare settlement statements and liaise with external reinsurers to resolve issues.

The role involves journal entries, ceded/quaid claims reconciliations, data queries, and collaboration with claims and actuarial teams while upholding internal controls and regulatory schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting/Finance
• PC literacy with data mining, spreadsheet automation
• Understanding of reinsurance administration

Responsibilities

• Prepares accounting & reporting for Reinsurance including settlement reports
• Prepares journal entries and postings to accounting systems
• Prepares monthly direct and ceded claims reconciliations
• Assists with quarter to determine outstanding accruals and reserves release
• Performs data queries on claim, premium and expense data
• Supports management reporting packages and ad hoc requests
• Ensures adherence to internal controls and regulatory schedules
