Job summary

The University of North Texas invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track Associate Professor / Professor in Data Science. The selected candidate will also receive the multi-year, renewable title of Reinburg Endowed Professor, subject to university policies.

The standard teaching load is two courses per semester; responsibilities include developing externally funded research, mentoring students, and building industry partnerships.

Qualifications

• PhD in Data Science, CS, Statistics, or related field by appointment.
• Strong scholarly research with publications and ongoing work in data science or AI.
• Ability to establish externally funded research programs.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in AI, ML, analytics.
• Ability to collaborate with industry on student projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to mentoring students at undergrad, masters, and doctoral levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop externally funded research program in data science.
