What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare or review third-party financial accounting, contractual allowances, and cost reports for multiple assigned facilities
- Perform reimbursement processes, including reconciliation of accounts and monitoring of individual claims
- Prepare monthly Medicare and Medicaid settlements using established reimbursement methodologies
- Mentor and coordinate training for team members involved in reimbursement functions
- Manage complex projects, ensuring timely completion and communication with financial leadership
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Demonstrated experience in a role requiring data analysis
- Proficiency in computer skills, including spreadsheets, databases, and word processing
- Experience with third-party financial accounting and cost reports
- Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
- Strong analytical thinking skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution
- Two years of experience in Medicare, Medicaid, and/or governmental reporting
- Familiarity with reimbursement processes and cost reports
