Location: Remote – MUST RESIDE IN ILLINOIS & HOLD AN IL PHARMACY TECH CERTIFICATION

Pay: $21 – $24 per hour (based on experience)

Job Description:

The Licensed Reimbursement Therapy Representative will support the full reimbursement cycle for manufacturer-specific pharmacy programs. This includes billing, collections, A/R resolution, documentation, and order processing. The role is remote but requires residency in Illinois and strong coordination skills in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage billing and collections for assigned pharmaceutical assistance programs
  • Investigate and resolve high-dollar A/R and reimbursement issues
  • Support internal audits and collaborate on process improvements
  • Process and update new and refill patient orders in system workflows
  • Confirm and document deliveries, order statuses, and insurance details
  • Review and interpret payer contracts and explanation of benefits (EOBs)
  • Submit necessary documentation for reimbursement and assistance programs

Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License and National Certification (CPhT)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in benefit verification, billing, and collections in a specialty pharmacy environment
  • At least 2 years of experience with A/R and reimbursement (both Major Medical and Pharmacy)
  • Familiarity with authorization and appeal processes
  • Experience with foundation assistance applications and reimbursement documentation
  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficiency in basic Excel functions (sort, filter, documentation) — must pass Excel test
  • Strong problem-solving and investigational skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented

Additional Details:

  • Type: Contract
  • Duration: ASAP through March 2026
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
  • Remote: 100%, but must reside in Illinois
