Job summary

Bryan Health in Lincoln, NE is seeking an Analyst to monitor payer denials, payment variances and ensure system goals are met. Primary duties include identifying, appealing and tracking denials and underpayments, and collecting third party underpayments to optimize reimbursement.

You will analyze data, communicate findings to leadership and partner with Patient Financial Services and Finance Administration to improve billing processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Minimum of one year college coursework in accounting, coding, insurance or related field required.
• Minimum of three years insurance billing experience in a hospital or professional environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deciphers contract reimbursement and analyzes differences between expected and actual reimbursement.
• Prepares and analyzes reports to oversee third party payer activity and identifies root cause of denials.
• Contacts and resolves incorrect payments with payers and escalates unresolved issues.
