Job summary

Enhabit Home Health & Hospice is seeking a reimbursement coordinator of collections to manage account payments and submit claims. This role is eligible for 100% remote work, with residency in a state where Enhabit operates, including Texas.

You will handle daily billing tasks, monitor accounts, and pursue timely reimbursements from insurance companies, including appeals for denials when necessary. Strong MS Office skills and Medicare experience are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of Medicare or related billing experience preferred.
• Valid state driver license in current residence.
• Auto liability insurance as required by law.
• Fluent English with strong written and oral communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Complete billing tasks daily aiming to minimize write-offs.
• Monitor and maintain assigned accounts for timely payments.
• Gather information to prepare insurance claims and submit clean claims.
• Submit claims electronically or on paper per payor guidelines.
• Research and correct rejected or denied claims and resubmit.
• Prepare appeals for denied claims when needed.

Overview

The reimbursement coordinator of collections is responsible for collecting and managing account payments. This position is responsible for submitting claims and following up with insurance companies for payment fulfillment.

This position is eligible for 100% remote but the employee must reside in a state where Enhabit currently operates. AK, AL, AR, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, MO, MS, MT, NC, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WY.

Responsibilities

• Complete billing tasks daily; ensure minimal write off of reimbursement dollars.
• Monitor and maintain assigned accounts.
• Collect all the necessary information to prepare insurance claims.
• Submit clean claims timely and appropriately to various insurance companies; complete submissions electronically or by paper according to payor guidelines.
• Research, correct, and resubmit rejected and denied claims.
• Prepare appeals to denied claims.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of demonstrated experience with Medicare or related billing functions is preferred.
• Required to have and maintain a valid state driver license in the current state of residence
• Required to have and maintain automobile liability insurance, as required by law
• Oral communication, written communication, fluency in English, active listening.
• Demontrated intermediate technology skills. Especially Microsoft office, including word and excel.
• Other than for designated full-time remote positions, in-office attendance is essential in order to achieve Enhabit objectives, including but not limited to, effective supervision, teamwork, task completion, and other position objectives.
