Job summary

Atlanta Humane Society is seeking a Rehoming and Relocation Coordinator to coordinate the safe transport of animals to, from, and within the organization. The role involves driving company vehicles, planning routes, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.

You will collaborate with shelters, rescue groups, and out-of-state agencies to save more lives and support the Pets in Crisis program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule transfers between AHS facilities and partner organizations.
• Drive company vehicles to transport animals and ensure safe handling.
• Create reports and provide detailed department data.
• Maintain compliance with safety policies, SDS rules, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with partners about agreements, admissions standards, and calendars.
• Assist in coordinating travel and logistics for the Pets in Crisis program.

Job description

The Rehoming and Relocation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the safe transportation of animals to, from, and within the organization. Maintains harmonious relationships with county animal shelters, rescue groups, humane societies, and out of state agencies to create lifesaving opportunities for companion pets.
