Job summary

MedVet is seeking a Rehabilitation Veterinary Technician to join our fast-growing emergency and specialty network. This role focuses on helping patients regain mobility through physical and water therapies, laser therapy, and related modalities, with ongoing client education to support healing.

State-registered RVT license is required along with prior veterinary experience; rehab experience is preferred. You will work in a collaborative team dedicated to compassionate care and client service,

Qualifications

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required.
• Prior veterinary experience required; rehab experience preferred.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, CRIs, unit conversions).

Responsibilities

• Prioritize caseload and patient care, prepare and review charts for appropriate paperwork, as well as ensure accurate documentation
• Restrain and assist with examinations and therapies
• Prepare prescriptions, harnesses and needed information for clients
• Discuss therapies and recommendations, as well as address client questions and concerns
• Coordinate interdepartmental communication, services, patient transfers and consults
• Perform and/or assist with patient therapies using multiple modalities including underwater treadmill, laser therapy, chiropractic adjustments, ultrasound, Assisi loop and land therapies

We are looking for:

Rehabilitation Veterinary Technician

Initial Hiring Range: $24-$29/hour based on skillset and experience

The Rehabilitation department focuses on helping our patients become mobile utilizing physical therapy, water therapy, cold laser therapy and more. This team is perfect for someone who enjoys working with a patient for extended amounts of time, as well as partnering with our clients on continued education to help their pet get better.

What you’ll do

Who you are

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license required
• Prior veterinary experience required, previous rehabilitation experience desired
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
