Rehabilitation Therapy Technician (RTT) II

Join to apply for the Rehabilitation Therapy Technician (RTT) II role at Texas Health and Human Services.

This position is based in Austin, TX, at the Brenham State Supported Living Center, and involves performing routine habilitative and rehabilitative therapy work to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with therapeutic activities and support plans under moderate supervision.
  2. Help individuals attend activities and appointments, and perform housekeeping duties in therapeutic areas.
  3. Collect data, prepare materials, and provide feedback to the interdisciplinary team.
  4. Maintain current skills and participate in disaster response or recovery efforts as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 90 days.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in therapeutic roles is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Pass background checks, drug screening, and registry checks.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
