Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to support rehabilitation therapists and deliver exceptional patient care. You will help set up equipment, maintain a safe environment, and collaborate closely with therapists and nurses to ensure smooth daily operations.

You will work within a patient-centered, safety-focused hospital culture that values compassionate care, professional growth, and teamwork across the rehabilitation team.

Qualifications

• BLS (CPR) certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Hospital environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily therapy department processes and operations.
• Assists patients with daily personal activities such as dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, toileting, and mobility as delegated by therapists.
• Prepares and transports patients according to the schedule.
• Assists therapists with daily care and patient therapy as delegated.
• Communicates patient outcomes and observations to rehab therapists.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort under supervision of therapists.
• Reports changes in patient condition to therapists.
• Participates in maintaining a safe, organized therapy area.
