Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital-Oklahoma City, in joint venture with Select Medical, is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Extern (Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy Student) for Oklahoma City, OK. This per diem role pays $21.00 per hour and supports inpatient rehabilitation services.

The extern will work under a therapist, assist with daily activities, and participate in educational sessions as part of a structured orientation and training program.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a physical, occupational, speech or assistant therapy program.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients under the supervision of a therapist during rehabilitation sessions.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and the therapy area for daily activities.
• Participate in lectures, training, and mentorship programs as directed by department.
• Assist with patient transfers, setup, positioning, and therapy-related tasks as assigned by therapists.
