Job summary

Halifax Health | Brooks Rehabilitation - Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation in Daytona Beach is seeking a Therapy Tech to assist therapists by direct patient interaction during treatment sessions and recovery. The role includes minor office support with patient reporting as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/BLS certification, and strong interpersonal and physical abilities to support rehabilitation services. PRN hours available at the Daytona Beach location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current hands-on CPR/BLS Certification.
• Good interpersonal skills, strength, endurance and mobility are required.
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients, guests, clients, and residents to treatment rooms, acute care, or gym areas.
• Assist patients on/off exercise tables or equipment, or in/out of whirlpools.
• Provide supervision/assistance with transfers, gait, and exercise as directed by therapists.
• Prepare whirlpool baths, dressings, and assist with dressing changes.
• Apply hot or cold packs under therapist/assistant direction; prepare patients for equipment use.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and report to supervisor.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and manage supplies/equipment.
