Rehabilitation Technician | St. Rita's Medical Center

Join us as a Rehabilitation Technician at St. Rita's Medical Center under the umbrella of Bon Secours Mercy Health.

Position Details: PRN (as needed)

Primary Function

Assist therapists, therapy assistants, and athletic trainers with routine tasks including cleaning, quality checks, room setup, inventory management, patient and equipment preparation, patient care assistance, and documentation.

Essential Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and team members regarding patient care and organizational guidelines.
• Perform routine data entry in electronic medical records and patient care databases.
• Support therapists and trainers with patient care when needed.
• Manage department supplies within budget guidelines.
• Conduct cleaning, quality control, temperature checks, and other delegated tasks.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with patient transportation as instructed.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
• Support front office duties such as answering calls, scheduling, and copay collection.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support certification (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, or at hire for RSFH)
• No prior work experience required

Patient Care

Capable of providing age-appropriate care across all patient populations served, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, with knowledge of growth and development principles.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

May involve high stress, fluctuating workloads, travel, exposure to noise, bright lights, human fluids, hazardous substances, and physical hazards. Physical demands include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and working in various positions.
