Job summary

Chestnut Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center in East Longmeadow, MA seeks a Rehab Tech to perform routine treatments and provide therapy support under the supervision of the Rehabilitation Director and licensed therapists. This role also handles administrative duties and billing preparation.

You will assist patients during therapy sessions, help with exercises and transfers, and maintain a safe, clean therapy area while supporting clerical tasks and recordkeeping.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary education (high school).
• Good communication skills required for interaction with patients and staff.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supports and/or stabilizes patients to assist the therapist during treatment, tests and evaluations.
• Assists licensed therapists during administration of non-skilled treatment as directed.
• Safeguards, motivates and assists patients practicing exercises, functional activities and gait training.
• Transports residents to and from the therapy area.
• Keeps therapy area clean, orderly and safe.
• Performs clerical duties: mail, recordkeeping, signatures, messages.
• Prepares billing and reports as directed by the Rehabilitation Director.

Job description

Chestnut Hill is in search of a REHAB TECH to Perform routine treatments and other therapy support activities as directed by the Rehabilitation Director and/or supervising therapist; provides administrative support including recordkeeping, maintenance of files, reports and monthly billing information; and general office duties as directed by the RD.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Supports and /or stabilizes patients to assist the therapist during treatment, tests and evaluations
• Assists licensed therapists or assistants during administration of non-skilled treatment as directed
• Safeguards, motivates and assists patients practicing exercises, functional activities and gait training
• Transports residents to and from the therapy area
• Assists in maintaining therapy area in a clean, orderly and safe manner.
• Performs miscellaneous clerical duties as directed by the Rehabilitation Director including sorting and distributing in-coming and out-going mail, recordkeeping, obtaining appropriate signatures on required records, answering telephone, taking and delivering messages
• Prepares weekly and monthly billing as directed by the Rehabilitation Director
• Prepares daily/weekly/monthly reports; admission and discharge records; evaluation/documentation packets
