Paxxon Healthcare Services in Naperville, Illinois is hiring a Part-Time Rehab Tech for an Assisted Living & Memory Care community. The position involves leading exercise classes and guiding geriatric patients through exercise programs, with preference for 3 days per week, 4-hour morning shifts.

Under supervision of therapists and program leadership, the Rehab Tech assists with treatments, equipment, and record keeping to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• A. Rehabilitation Techs receive work assignments concerning preparation of tasks from the Therapists.
• B. Rehabilitation Techs obtain supplies necessary for use in therapist's patient treatments.
• C. Rehabilitation Techs assists patients to dress or undress in preparation for treatment, maintaining patient's modesty and dignity.
• D. Rehabilitation Techs assist therapists during ambulation and gait training, ADLS, speech and swallowing services.
• E. Rehabilitation Techs observe patients and notifies therapists of patient distress or malfunctioning equipment.
• F. Rehabilitation Techs maintain neatness of therapy department.
• G. Rehabilitation Techs transport patients safely to therapy and return patient to appropriate area after completion of therapy.
• H. Rehabilitation Techs complete other tasks to assist in safe and efficient operations within the therapy department.
• I. Rehabilitation Techs assist in creating lists for supplies necessary for use in various facilities.
• J. Rehabilitation Techs assist in maintenance of administrative record keeping systems.
• K. Rehabilitation Techs facilitate the wellness programs at the various facilities as assigned.

Paxxon Healthcare is currently hiring for a Part-Time Rehab Tech at an Assisted Living & Memory Care Community in Naperville, Illinois! We are seeking energetic and passionate candidates that are available for Part-Time hours (Preferably 3 days per week, 4 hours morning shifts)!

Job duties will include leading Exercise Classes and working with patients through an exercise program! Must feel comfortable in a group setting and working with geriatric patients. Other job duties include obtaining paperwork for new referrals and filing documents!

No prior experience needed-we will provide training!

POSITION SUMMARY

A Rehabilitation Tech works under close supervision of the therapists, area clinical coordinator and regional director of operations and performs tasks which do not require professional training or education.

MAIN FUNCTION

The Rehabilitation Tech assists the Therapists in administering treatments. The Rehabilitation Tech performs tasks to maintain the department in an orderly manner.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1. Must be able to lift 35 pounds. Safe moving, lifting or transferring of patients is required.
2. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
3. Must demonstrate appropriate and applicable fine motor skills.
4. Must demonstrate adequate visual acuity for safety with patient interaction.
