Description

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) services consist of day programs and supportive living programs. Clients in our day programs have access to group activities, individual support, and mental health services. Clients in the supportive living program receive support in maintaining independent living and have access to the day program.

What to expect

This is a direct care opportunity to provide support for mental health treatment. You will provide a safe and therapeutic environment that encourages the overall independence and wellbeing of your clients.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a residential counselor, working one-on-one with clients to learn or regain skills for successful community and independent living and socialization.
  • Ensure medication compliance, responsible for safety, dosage, and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with a service team to develop and implement individual service plans.
  • Provide transportation and attend clients’ medical appointments, advocating throughout and ensuring documentation of follow-up instructions.
  • Maintain overall sanitation and meet Department of Health regulations; ensure all CACFP documentation is completed accurately and timely.
  • Assist with daily food operations and catering, ensuring meals are attractive, nutritionally complete, and delivered fresh and hot.
  • Ensure food service documentation and licensing are accurate, complete, and current; comply with all Department of Labor and State laws, regulations, guidelines, and directives; participate in all required food service trainings.
  • Monitor accurate portion and inventory control, negotiate food purchases and delivery, and assist in general inventory control for food services.
  • Develop rapport with clients as part of their trusted support system, witnessing their recovery progress.

What we need from you
  • Current, valid SERVSAFE certification upon hire or within 60 days.
  • Ability to obtain additional certifications/training as required (e.g., CPR/First Aid, Infection Control, Food Safety and Handling, Crisis Intervention/Suicidal Protocol).
  • Direct knowledge of or willingness to learn and implement the CACFP program.
  • High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Driver’s license with 3 points or less and access to an insured vehicle.
  • Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay rate for this position is $19.31 hourly.
