Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech‑Language Pathology, or related field.
• Current New York State License and Registration in the applicable rehabilitation discipline.
• BLS (AHA) Certification.
• 5–7 years of progressive clinical hospital acute care experience with 2–3 years in leadership.
• Knowledge of hospital operations, rehabilitation regulations, and reimbursement systems.
• Experience with EPIC or rehabilitation documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision for rehabilitation staff across multiple disciplines.
• Oversee inpatient and outpatient pediatric rehabilitation and audiology services.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate rehab programs aligned with hospital goals.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/Joint Commission standards and payer guidelines.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and departmental budget.
• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate rehab team members for professional growth.
• Monitor clinical quality metrics, patient outcomes, and safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, care coordination, and other departments for patient transitions.
• Establish goals, policies, and procedures; ensure accurate documentation and coding.
