Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved PTA or OTA program.
• Or eligibility for California licensure/eligibility as PTA.
• Or eligibility for NBCOT certification for OT.
• CA license to practice Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed PT OA or PTA in California.
• Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Implements patient treatment programs directed by the therapist.
• Guides patients through exercises and activities.
• Provides feedback on patient and caregiver performance.
• Collaborates with supervising therapist toward therapy goals.
• Assesses treatment effectiveness and adjusts as needed.
• Selects appropriate treatment interventions and utilizes specialized techniques.
