Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology; Virginia license or license-eligible.
• Completion of internship/postdoctoral training with experience in rehabilitation psychology, neuropsychology, and/or health psychology.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and time-management skills.
• Commitment to an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical psychological assessments of adults with brain injuries, stroke, movement disorders, epilepsy, neurological conditions, and other disabilities.
• Provide evidence-based interventions including psychoeducation, adjustment to disability, and pain management.
• Provide consultation to interdisciplinary treatment teams and liaise with patients and families.
• Prepare timely documentation including reports and progress notes; supervise and train learners as assigned.
• Participate in teaching, research, and service activities within the PM&R department.
• Represent the department in committees and professional organizations.
