The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) at The MetroHealth System (MHS) is seeking a Rehabilitation Psychologist to manage inpatient and outpatient care for adults with acquired neurologic conditions and injuries, focusing on Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). The psychologist will be a key member of the TBI interdisciplinary team, coordinating rehabilitation efforts and providing psychological services to optimize adjustment and coping.
Responsibilities include managing cases of mild TBI/concussion, stroke, neurodegenerative diseases, seizure disorders, spinal cord injuries, amputations, burn injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions including chronic pain. The role offers opportunities to contribute to program expansion through group, individual, and family therapies, as well as academic pursuits such as research, teaching, and supervision of medical trainees.
Qualified candidates will hold a doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA/CPA accredited program, with completion of an APA/CPA accredited internship. Preferred candidates will have training in rehabilitation, health psychology, or neuropsychology, and post-doctoral fellowship experience in healthcare or rehabilitation settings.
