How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:

Full Time.Manager for Giles and Tazewell Rehab facilities. 25-50% patient care required.


Manages rehabilitation services for facility or specific therapy either by direct supervision or coordination of services. Provides leadership, direction and coordination for the growth and delivery of quality, cost-effective rehabilitation services in a team-oriented environment with emphasis on customer-focused service excellence.

  • Develops the operating and capital budgets for designated areas of responsibility. Accountable for managing the budget to achieve financial, productivity and service quality targets. Completes reporting requirements.
  • Selects, provides feedback, completes performance evaluations and retains qualified employees. Develops and expands employee competencies. Coordinates with other rehabilitation managers for provision of additional on-site services and provides feedback on staffing. Ensures compliance with appropriate state, Carilion Clinic and Joint commission standards and requirements. Provides development discipline and separates as needed.
  • In conjunction with Director and Strategic Services, plans, markets and directs facility rehabilitation services. Monitors customer satisfaction and scorecard measures and targets to ensure that services and processes reflect continuous performance improvement. Maintains positive physician relations. Resolves patient/customer concerns.
  • Delivers efficient, consistent and timely services. Researches new service opportunities. Develops goals and manages achievement of appropriate quality improvement, risk management and outcome activities specific to assigned areas. Participates in management meetings and committees as assigned. Formulates reviews, revises and maintains written policies and procedures as appropriate.
  • Provides patient care as appropriate by licensure and service area. Maintains licensure and competencies.
What We Require:


Education: Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience. Masters or Doctorate preferred. Graduate of accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology program preferred.

Experience: Leadership or supervisory/management position preferred. Two or more years Rehab experience required with understanding of business component. Experience may include being a Therapist or experience in a related healthcare field. Five to seven years of clinical experience preferred. Two or more years in a leadership or supervisory/management position preferred.

Licensure,certification, and/or registration: Discipline specific certification and Virginia license preferred.

Other MinimumQualifications: Demonstrated excellent analytical, financial, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, team leadership, priority setting and work competency skills at current level of practice. Basic word processing and spreadsheet skills.
