Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assigns codes using ICD-10-CM.
• Ensures codes are accurate and sequenced correctly per regulations.
• Maintains a 95% threshold for coding accuracy.
• Receives and reviews patient charts for accuracy.
• Queries physician for clarification to improve accuracy.
• Keeps up-to-date with coding guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
• Protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
