Job summary

The Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) at Reliant Rehabilitation leads the therapy department across assisted living, independent living or memory care communities. You will oversee staffing, scheduling, compliance, and performance to meet resident care and financial objectives.

You will partner with community leadership, drive quality patient outcomes, ensure accurate documentation, and manage budgets while maintaining high professional standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Must possess a degree in therapy from an accredited school.
• Two (2) years of experience as a Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Speech-Language Pathologist is preferred.
• One (1) year of management experience is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing.
• Thorough knowledge of state practice acts.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall therapy, wellness, and fitness advocacy within the community.
• Manage, orient, train, evaluate, and counsel department Team Members to improve their job performance and to maintain high standards of performance and patient quality care.
• Lead with the interview process for hiring department Team Members.
• Ensure compliance with Reliant Rehabilitation and community specific policies and procedures for the department.
• Ensure that therapists and therapy assistants are compliant with documentation in the medical record.
• Communicate and coordinate department functions with other services to promote teamwork.
