Job summary

WF TPS is seeking a Director of Rehabilitation (PT or PTA preferred) to lead the rehabilitation department in Florida. The role focuses on shaping strategic direction, ensuring high-quality patient care, and fostering collaboration among clinical teams.

The Director will oversee therapists and support staff, develop effective treatment plans, manage budgets, and drive quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Rehabilitation Director or in a leadership role within a rehabilitation department.
• Professional certification in a relevant field (e.g., PTA, OTR/L, PT, SLP).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think critically and resolve complex issues.
• Familiarity with regulations and guidelines governing rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the rehabilitation department and guidance to team members (OTs, PTs, SLPs, rehab aides).
• Develop and implement rehabilitation treatment plans focused on restoring function and independence.
• Collaborate with nursing, medicine, and therapy for seamless transitions and high-quality care.
• Identify areas for improvement and lead quality initiatives to improve outcomes and reduce readmissions.
• Recruit, train, and supervise rehabilitation staff ensuring regulatory compliance and standards.
• Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and equipment for efficient resource use.
