The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) seeks a Rehab Counselor Supervisor to lead the Albemarle VR/IL Unit in Union County. This role directs daily supervision, casework, and administrative components of a multi-caseload rehabilitation program, including coverage and program evaluation.
Responsibilities include staff training, data-informed decision making, and partnerships with community agencies to promote employment for people with disabilities.

The Counselor-in-Charge (CIC) position is part of the Albemarle VR/IL Unit and is located in the Monroe satellite office in Union County. This position is responsible for organizing and directing the daily supervision of counselors and assigned staff, casework, and providing leadership within the unit. The CIC will assist the Unit Manager with work involving planning, implementing, and evaluating the technical and administrative components of a rehabilitation program consisting of multiple caseloads, third-party programs, and a limited number of specialized rehabilitation programs. The CIC helps shape unit performance through data-informed decision-making, promotes professional development, and fosters a collaborative team environment to support individuals with disabilities in achieving their employment goals. This position will provide coverage for the mental health caseload.
Salary Range: $48,222.00 - $84,388.00
Position is funded in part through federal funds. Position is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours.
