Position Overview

The Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) is the state's leading division serving people with disabilities, committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and racial justice. The mission of the Division is to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their goals of employment, education, and independent living. The Division of Rehabilitation Services is seeking to hire a Rehabilitation Case Coordinator who is self-motivated and detail-oriented, with strong communication skills. The coordinator will work with counselors and the case management system to determine daily priorities for customer service delivery. This position involves collecting, reviewing, and processing Individual Provider (IP) timesheets, vendor bills, and payments, as well as triaging and prioritizing mail, email, phone calls, voicemail, and drop-in customers. The role also includes assisting applicants, program participants, family members/guardians/caregivers, vendors, and referring agencies in understanding program rules, policies, eligibility criteria, and other aspects of the Home Services Program.

Essential Functions

  • Work with counselor(s) and the case management system to determine daily priority of customer service delivery.
  • Collect, review, and process Individual Provider (IP) timesheets bi-monthly.
  • Assist applicants, program participants, family members/guardians/caregivers, vendors, and referring agencies with understanding program rules, policies, eligibility criteria, and other aspects of the Home Services Program.
  • Triages and prioritizes incoming mail, email, phone calls, voicemail, and drop-in customers.
  • Meet frequently with Home Services Program staff within the office and/or supervisor to plan and discuss general casework activities.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned that are reasonably within the scope of the duties listed above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to the completion of four (4) years of high school.
  • Two (2) years of clerical-related experience demonstrating proficiency and accuracy in keyboarding functions.
  • Qualifying state employees in the employee Upward Mobility Program may complete proficiency tests and training programs leading to a certificate of proficiency in lieu of the stated requirements.

Conditions of Employment

  • Ability to travel for training.
  • All employment conditions are incorporated and related to the listed duties.

Work Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5pm, 1 hour unpaid lunch.
