Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Aide to support the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team in patient care and department operations at our Edison, NJ location. The role involves transfers, equipment setup, ADL assistance, and maintaining clean, organized treatment areas.

Requires a High School diploma or GED; 1 year of patient care experience preferred. Starting pay is $17.64 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or GED equivalent programs.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate with a diverse patient population.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a member of the interdisciplinary team

Responsibilities

• Performs safe transfers using cues and assistance; guards patients as directed and reports changes to nurse/therapists.
• Obtains equipment for therapists; identifies wheelchair types and parts per requests; reports unsafe equipment.
• Cleans treatment areas and maintains supplies; restocks linen and clinic items; maintains order.
• Answers phones per department scripts; maintains logs and files; delivers correspondence.
• Carries out daily recreation groups and individual leisure activities; supports other duties as assigned.
