Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to support therapists in daily patient care at our Salisbury, MD location. You will set up equipment, help maintain a safe environment, and collaborate with nurses and therapists to deliver quality care.

Successful candidates will have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and CPR certification preferred. This role offers growth opportunities within a national inpatient rehabilitation leader.

Qualifications

• License/Certification: CPR certification preferred (unless hospital policy requires otherwise).
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Has completed elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists' daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate to therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.
