Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation in Ocala, FL is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to assist rehabilitation therapists, set up equipment, and help provide compassionate patient care in an inpatient setting.

In this role you will support daily patient care and therapeutic activities, facilitate clear communication with patients, families and the healthcare team, maintain patient safety, and help with patient transport and documentation as needed.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred unless hospital policy requires otherwise.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Has completed elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists' daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate to therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.
