Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to support rehabilitation therapists in delivering high-quality patient care on site. You will help set up equipment, maintain a safe environment, and work closely with therapists and nurses to execute treatment plans.

Starting roles involve assisting with daily activities, coordinating patient transports, and documenting outcomes for therapists.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• License/Certification: CPR certification preferred (unless hospital policy requires otherwise).
• Has completed elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists’ daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate to therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.

Education
