Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I at our Tucson, AZ location. This role supports rehabilitation therapists, helps set up equipment, and protects patient safety while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

You will collaborate with nurses and therapists to coordinate therapy sessions, prepare patients, and communicate outcomes to the care team. This entry-level position offers growth opportunities within a national inpatient rehabilitation leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Completed Rehab Tech I ladder elements or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists' daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate to therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.

Qualifications

• License/Certification: CPR certification preferred (unless hospital policy requires otherwise).
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Has completed elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.
