Job summary

Select Medical’s SSM Rehabilitation Hospital in Lake Saint Louis is seeking a Rehab Therapy Extern to gain hands-on experience under supervision. The position pays $18 an hour and requires weekend shifts.

You will assist patients in rehab, help prepare equipment and support daily activities while enrolled in a physical, occupational, or speech therapy program. BLS or completion within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited physical, occupational, or speech therapy program.
• BLS certification or completion within 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in rehabilitation under the direction of a therapist.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and the therapy area for daily activities.

Rehab Therapy Extern

$18 an hour

Candidate must be available multiple weekend shifts per month.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of a therapist

• You will assist patients in the rehabilitation process through provision of requested activities.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and the physical plant for daily activities.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a physical, occupational, speech therapy academic program required
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required
