Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics is seeking a Therapy Aide to support the Inpatient Rehabilitation team. This role involves assisting with patient care, coordinating with physical therapists, and ensuring a safe, clean therapy environment in a dynamic hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, basic life support within 90 days, and a genuine passion for helping patients recover.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire is preferred.
• Driver’s license preferred; must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients during therapy sessions, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Support therapists with mobility tasks using proper safety techniques.
• Transport patients to and from therapy areas as needed.
• Monitor patient well‑being and communicate concerns to staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe therapy environment.
• Stock and organize supplies to support daily therapy operations.
• Assist with equipment upkeep and minor repairs.
