Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital in Medina, OH is seeking a part-time Rehab Technician to support pediatric therapy services. This role provides direct and indirect patient care under on-site supervision, while coordinating with therapists and families.

Responsibilities include front desk tasks, treatment-area prep, equipment handling, inventory, transporting patients, and assisting with activities and positioning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• BLS certification required within first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• 1. Patient registration duties, including scheduling, answering phones, checking in/out, collecting co-pays.
• 2. Department upkeep including treatment-area prep and work-orders.
• 3. Equipment maintenance and assembly/disassembly.
• 4. Track inventory and stock supplies.
• 5. Video recording therapy sessions.
• 6. Transporting patients to/from therapy sessions.
• 7. Direct/indirect patient care under therapist supervision (casting, transfers, toileting, dressing, bathing, positioning, gait training, group activities).
• 8. Coordinate care between disciplines, providers and family.
• 9. Address physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of patients.
• 10. Other duties as required.
