The Rehabilitation Technician assists in personal care and development across various areas:

Safety
  • Monitors and ensures safety 24/7 through various means such as eyes-on supervision, one-on-one checks, or scheduled checks.
  • Supports crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
Relationship Building
  • Establishes trust and empathy through consistent communication.
  • Builds partnerships with clients, the community, and professionals.
Activities and Daily Living
  • Helps clients develop problem-solving, communication, and independence skills.
  • Assists with social and leisure activities like outings to stores, events, and social gatherings.
  • Supports clients with Activities of Daily Living, including mobility, personal hygiene, dressing, and feeding.
  • Provides assistance with bowel and bladder programs, wound care, and transfers.
Health
  • Monitors vital signs and medical conditions.
  • Promotes positive behaviors and attends medical appointments, ensuring proper communication with healthcare providers.
  • Follows care plans and documents accurately and timely.
Community Integration
  • Connects clients with community opportunities to foster relationships.
  • Supports employment, educational, and volunteer pursuits.
