Job summary

The Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville, IN, is seeking a part-time Rehabilitation Technician to join our team. The role supports licensed therapists by assisting with therapy sessions, preparing materials, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to assist with lifting 40 pounds regularly. This position emphasizes teamwork, patient care, and efficient clerical support in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to push large adults in wheelchairs.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients under direct supervision of licensed therapists, including accompanying clients to therapy and assisting with materials.
• Prepare/clean-up treatment areas.
• Clean/disinfect and organize treatment areas, materials, toys and equipment.
• Assist with the preparation of therapy materials and supplies, including purchasing items, organizing materials, and preparing boards.
• Perform administrative tasks and clerical duties, as assigned.

The ideal candidate will

• Assist with clients under direct supervision of licensed therapists, including but not limited to accompanying client to/from therapy area, assisting with materials during sessions, and assisting with lifting/transferring of clients.
• Prepare/clean-up treatment areas.
• Clean/disinfect and organize treatment areas, materials, toys and equipment.
• Assist with the preparation of therapy materials/supplies, including but not limited to purchasing items at a store, making copies, laminating items, organizing materials, laundering items, and preparing schedule and communication boards.
• Perform administrative tasks and clerical duties, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Ability to assist clients in activities including kneeling, crouching, reaching and bending
• Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to push large adults in wheelchairs
• Ability to carry 40 pounds on an occasional basis
