Mobility & Rehab Equipment Service Technician

If you have strong mechanical skills and enjoy working with your hands, this is an opportunity to turn that expertise into a career that truly matters.

We're seeking a technically skilled, field-based Service Technician to support our Complex Rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll work with advanced mobility and medical equipment-ensuring it is properly assembled, adjusted, and functioning safely for the individuals who rely on it every day.

This position is ideal for someone with experience in DME/HME, equipment repair, automotive/mechanical work, or technical service roles who wants to apply those skills in a more meaningful, patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport, install, and configure rehabilitation and home medical equipment, including power and manual wheelchairs, beds, lifts, ramps, and custom seating systems
  • Perform hands‑on mechanical work, including assembly, alignment, adjustments, and part replacement
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment issues using tools, mechanical knowledge, and basic electrical testing (AC/DC systems)
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance and safety inspections
  • Partner with Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs) and clinicians during equipment setups and fittings
  • Instruct clients and caregivers on proper usage, operation, and safety
  • Retrieve, sanitize, and recondition equipment according to company and regulatory standards
  • Document service calls, repairs, and delivery details accurately
  • Maintain service vehicle organization, tools, and inventory for efficient field operations
  • Support warehouse activities, including equipment staging, repairs, and inventory control
What We Offer
  • A role where your technical work directly improves patient mobility and independence
  • Hands‑on experience with specialized rehab and assistive technology equipment
  • A collaborative team environment with ongoing learning opportunities
  • Variety in your day‑to‑day work-field service, repairs, and client interaction
  • A mission‑driven culture focused on quality care and outcomes
Additional Information

This is a field‑based position requiring regular travel to homes, healthcare facilities, and clinical settings. You'll work closely with both technical and clinical team members to ensure every piece of equipment is safe, functional, and tailored to each individual.

If you're a problem‑solver who enjoys mechanical work and wants to be part of something more meaningful than a typical service job, we encourage you to apply.

Help us deliver the equipment-and the confidence-people need to live more independently.

Qualifications
  • Background in DME/HME, mobility equipment, field service, or mechanical repair preferred
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment assembly

  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs independently
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving medical equipment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable working in a mobile, customer-facing role
