Job summary

The Rehabilitation Institute of South San Antonio is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Rehab department on the night shift. This full-time role requires compassionate patient care, accurate documentation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to plan and deliver individualized care.

Applicants should hold a state RN license and a BSN from an accredited program, with BLS required within 30 days and ACLS/PALS within six months. Rehab/Med Surg experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license is required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program is required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of Rehab and/or Med Surg experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care in the medical record with accuracy.
• Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Coordinates patient transfer, discharge, and referrals; provides psychosocial support as needed.
• Provides patient/family education appropriate to age and condition.
