Brooks Rehabilitation is seeking a part-time Rehab Department support role at the University Crossing location in Jacksonville. The position involves scheduling, billing, and coordination with nursing and therapy staff to ensure efficient patient care.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma and 1–2 years in a medical office setting, with scheduling experience and basic medical terminology knowledge to support daily operations.

Responsabilités

• Establishes and maintains staffing schedules with the rehab team.
• Enter schedules into Unitime and produce required reports.
• Schedule all patients daily and modify as needed.
• Communicate with Nursing units to obtain patient information and solve problems.
• Perform Rehab Department billing functions and daily charge reconciliations.
• Maintain departmental statistics and prepare timesheets.
• Answer phones, file, and schedule meetings.

If you are passionate about serving patients with a goal to provide the best care possible and an excellent patient experience, we invite you to join our award-winning, innovative organization.Position Summary: Performs and provides all office support services for the Rehab Department such as patient and staff scheduling, computer functions, correspondence, interdepartmental and client communication, compiling statistics and conducting special projects as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTSMaintains confidentiality of patient, staff and proprietary information.Adheres to policies and procedures specific to patient rights.Maintains a clean and safe environment; identifies and reports hazards.Meets all requirements for mandatory education.Adheres to policies regarding attendance, conduct, grooming, and dress code.Promotes a positive image of Brooks to the client, the residents and the public.Participates in performance improvement activities as needed.Exhibits excellent service to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.Shows courtesy, compassion and respect for all customers.Promotes the mission, vision and values of the organization.Complies with professional, regulatory, ethical and legal standards.MAJOR TASKS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESEstablishes and maintains effective working relationship with other members of the health care administrative team.Plan and prepare staffing schedules. Work with the staff to accommodate individual’s schedules according to current policies. Collaborate with the rehab manager to provide correct mixture and number of staff for each day.Enter all schedules into appropriate computer software with accuracy and produce required reports. In cooperation with manager or designee, make daily changes to schedules and acquire additional staff as needed to replace staff who call in absent from work. Notify manager in timely manner if unable to obtain required staff to meet unit needs.Retrieves overnight and daily fax requisitions, identifies new patient referrals and new orders, sorts schedule by therapist and distributes to the therapists. Schedules all patients daily, adding new patients as received, and altering schedule when requested.Communicates with the Nursing units and other departments to solicit needed patient information and problem-solve when necessary.Performs all Rehab Department billing functions; daily charge reconciliations, and notifies therapist to perform charge corrections as necessary.Maintains and reports all departmental statistics.Maintains and prepares timesheets through Unitime for all department employees.Answers telephone in a professional manner, files, and schedules meetings as required. Performs general office functions: typing, filing, and ordering suppliesDistributes and files correspondence and records.Retrieves, assembles, and submits various data and information for the Regional and Manager.May perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:High school graduate.One to two years experience in a business office or medical environment.Some medical terminology helpful, but not required.SNF experience preferred.
